I wanted to share with our readers an exciting pre-artprize event. The New Deal, an artist collaborative out of Grand Rapids, will be displaying their sculpture FORK at the farmers Market on Saturday, September 19. This collaborative brings attention to some important issues surrounding food security and the local economy. In their own words: “The New Deal – has taken ArtPrize and used it to convey a message – Vote With Your Fork, Grand Rapids. Buy local food and support farmers that grow good, healthful, affordable food from our rich, Michigan soil”.
